Kendriya Vidyalaya - an autonomous body under The Ministry of Human Resources & Development, Govt. of India-came into being on 15th December, 1965 with taking over of twenty Regimental schools,presently having a vast network of as many as nine hundred Kendriya Vidyalayas spread all over the country with a common syllabus and medium of instruction which have brought a good deal of relief to the Central Govt. employees and other floating population liable to frequent transfers anywhere in India. More than forty thousand employees are playing a leading role in providing quality education to more than seven lac children. In the wake of today's changing scenario,rapid strides are being made in all key-areas of modern educational set-up to achieve excellence and to enhance the prosperity of Nation for acquiring all round development.
